Diffuser required. Wieyan® flame simulation bulbs need a frosted glass or shade on the fixture to soften the LED and recreate the amber flame glow. Add one below if your lantern does not already have frosted glass.

Frosted glass shade that diffuses LED and filament bulbs for a softer, more authentic flame-like glow. Required for Wieyan® flame simulation bulbs when the lantern does not already have frosted glass.

The Wieyan® is CopperSmith's flame simulation module for electric lanterns. A custom LED cluster inside a tinted rain-glass envelope recreates the amber flicker of an open gas flame, paired with an E26 socket for drop-in installation in any compatible electric lantern. Hand-built and CSA-listed for wet locations.
Diffuser required: Wieyan® flame simulation bulbs require a diffuser on the fixture for proper visual effect — the LED cluster must be softened by a frosted glass or shade to recreate the amber glow of an open flame. If your lantern does not already have frosted glass, add a Frosted Shade below.
