Warranty by Component
Copper lantern bodies and valves
Against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions.
Steel mountings & accessories (non-coastal)
Structural defects in steel mounting hardware and accessories when installed in non-coastal environments.
Aluminum accessories & mounting plates
Against rust and corrosion in aluminum mounting plates and accessory hardware.
Glass panels
Manufacturing defects in glass panels. Does not cover breakage from installation, handling, or environmental impact.
120V & 12V LED Weiyan modules
Defects in hardwired LED Weiyan flame simulation modules under normal operating conditions.
Electronic ignition systems
Manufacturing defects in electronic ignition components.
Custom finishes
Defects in custom applied finishes. Natural weathering and patina development are not covered.
LED Gold Flame Bulbs
Manufacturing defects in LED flame simulation bulbs.
Battery-powered LED Weiyan modules
Defects in battery-operated Weiyan modules. Battery life and replacement are not covered.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover damages incurred in transit, from handling, from improper installation, misuse, normal wear and tear, or lack of maintenance. The CopperSmith assumes no liability for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of its products.
Natural patina development, weathering of copper surfaces, and color changes over time are inherent characteristics of solid copper and are not considered defects. Coastal environments may accelerate the aging process on steel and aluminum components.
Returns
Return Process
Request an RGA Number
Contact us at (866) 905-4448 or customerservice@frenchmarketlanterns.com to request a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. Provide your order details, product SKU, and a description of the issue.
Wait for Authorization
Our team will review your request and respond within 24 hours with an RGA number and return shipping instructions. Do not ship any products until you receive written authorization.
Ship the Product
Pack the product securely in its original packaging if possible. Include the RGA number on the outside of the package. Ship to the address provided in your authorization email.
Resolution
Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will process a repair, replacement, or credit based on the warranty coverage and condition of the item. Restocking fees may apply for non-warranty returns.
Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Always obtain an RGA number before shipping any product back to us.
